• If you’re fine with a 5050 yeah that seems reasonable with the current economy on laptops.
• Dude priced it at $1,200 here’s the specs he listed and everything he sent me about the machine. Let me know if this seems reasonable I’m dead set that I want the 16 inch
• Parent context: According to the service manual for the new XPS 16, the Intel Arc B390 graphics can support up to 3 external displays with the laptop display enabled, and can support 4 external displays with the laptop display disabled....
• I am trying to get a Dell XPS 16 with the Ultra 9, Nvidia 5050, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, and 2k display, but it's out of stock on the Dell page... That aside, I have heard great things from engineering students about the XPS family of laptops.

Cons

• I have the 16inch XPS and I run it with Fedora since day one. Except the webcam which does not work, everything else works just fine.
• Those touch F-keys are bullshit.
• Parent context: yeah the new motherboard seems to have made no impact. Reply: Ugh... thanks for the update. How frustrating. Seems like it's a systemic firmware/hardware issue and there's no indication that their engineers are even aware...
