Pretty much every popular financial advisor (like Dave Ramsry) keeps talking about how one shouldn't include Social Security when it comes to planning for retirement. I feel like it causes people who didn't have help from family, financially speaking, from living life.

Dave Ramsey is great for helping people get out of debt, but his investing advice is garbage
Dave is unfortunately living in the 80s a lot of the time with stuff like this. It's objectively harmful to your financial future to pay off a 2.5% loan instead of investing in an average 10% return index fund in a tax advantaged account.
He’s got good guidelines for people that were never taught to handle money, but it’s a starting point.
Not all debt is created equal, dont listen to Dave Ramsey
