Cunning Folk

People have mentioned The Ritual and Cunning Folk by Adam Neville but if you want an actual deep dive into occult lore (fictional, albeit) go with Last Days or even more so, The Reddening.

Cunning Folk is *cruel* (a positive review for horror). It's definitely worth a read.

I love Adam Nevill for folk horror. The Ritual, Last Days, Under a Watchful Eye, Cunning Folk definitely, The Reddening, etc.

Really enjoyed the Vessel and Cunning Folk.

Cunning Folk started slow but I enjoyed the second half.

Cunning Folk was awesome, I wish I could read it for the first time again, I loved it. There were parts where I was legit holding my breath and one that got me so emotionally wrecked I felt physically ill. I highly recommend it :P

Oh I love Adam Neville! Cunning Folk and The Reddening are probably some of my favorite books I've read in the last few years.
