Continental Grand Prix 5000

Pros

• Wonderful bike though! If you’re feeling like you need a new upgrade new tires (maybe gp5000 700x30mm, or maybe 32’s if your frame will fit them, would be a noticeable improvement!
• The best upgrade would be a set of carbon wheels with good tires like gp5000 (tubeless or tpu tubes)
• I love my GP5000 32s on my road bike but unfortunately that was involved in a crash along with me
• Everyone in my group either run GP5000 or pirelli P zeros. I’m a gp5000 guy
• I have GP5000 on my aluminum road bike but want to try the lighter newer gravel bike on the road with slicks to see how it fairs.

Cons

• While I love the GP5000, I personally do not use it for commuting as it's expensive and not particularly long-lasting or durable (both important for a commuting tire, IMO).
• Currently on a Scott Addict RC with standard Syncros 35mm wheels (Tubeless on 28 mm GP5000).
• GP5000s crack if you just leave them outside in general, they will definitely fall apart if you bathe them in ozone.
• Parent context: I hate putting GP5000's on Reply: #Facts! 🫠🙃😂
• the softer GP5000 are also great at picking up and hiding little slivers of glass or metal that puncture the tube again after a few miles.
