Civic Si

Pros

• Civic Si? They're fantastic, available as a manual, $33k or so brand new. 200 hp, it'd go a little harder off the line - and a little easier on you and your passengers - than your fit
• especially calling out a civic Si comparison which has much bigger rear windows and windscreen.
• A Civic Si is a lot of fun, but any Civic is fairly entertaining to drive for a mainstream compact car.
• Civic SI? ... You could probably also find a decent VA WRX or a GTI for $20k
• If you like your civic a lot, there are more engaging civics… the Civic Si and Type-R, if you know how / want to learn how to drive a stick.

Cons

• The Honda is absolutely fine, I’m just not the biggest fan of it especially with “Civic tax” and some issues in cold weather (depends on where you live).
• Its a "the dollar has lost ~30% of its value in 7 years" problem. That $25K in 2019 is about $33K today. I am seeing new Civic Sis for sale at about $34-35K.
• In 2019, a Civic Si cost around 25k out the door. Dealers now refuse to sell them for under 37k, yet individuals continue to queue for them.
• But none actually want to sell me a civic si for Msrp after it’s been sitting on the lot for a while
• I mean the ILX is basically a Civic Si with an automatic transmission.
