Pros

  • I just listed a few that I have and love, minus the TRM but heard great things. ... CRK, Hinderer, Demko, Spartan, TRM.
  • If you don’t care about fidget factor probably a CRK.
  • I'd rather spend a little more on a CRK, Big Idea Design or Doug Ritter and get a knife that is of actual quality and not going to chip or break on me with normal usee.
  • But.. my head is still focused on a CRK one day lol.
  • With that budget I would look at McNees PM Mac3.5, CRK, AD20, Machinewise.

Cons

  • While CRK won't even mill out the scales and still use washers, have cheap pocket clips and can't be disassembled without the taco method. This is not opinion, this is objective value based on specs, features and relative value at checkout.
  • I can buy a CRK for a shit load of money but it doesn’t work any better or last any longer than a spyderco.

I feel like this is one of the best options. Every knife guy that is even a little involved in the hobby knows CRK. It's not so expensive as to be ridiculous but enough to know it's not just any knife.

Parent context: Shoot that’s probably the one knife I own that I would be willing to skin an animal with just because of how easy it is to take apart and clean CRK’s. Reply: Every other knife I’d have to worry about if it’s off center. Not CRK

like you said you could stack them up against a crk or hinderer but they cost 5x more so it's kinda silly.
