Pros

• Parent context: I was going to say that too. Where's the Suburban? Those things are great. Reply: I mean that's just a Tahoe stretched an additional 15".
• Where's the Suburban? Those things are great.
• The Tahoe or Suburban is the best possible vehicle to car camp. You get 4x4 and plenty of interior room. Nothing else can match it for those 2 categories.
• I think you need to add in the full size Suburban and Expedition.
• If you need three rows to haul real people and stuff, Expedition EL or Suburban.

Cons

• Those late models Suburbans are pretty hit/miss. From transmission issues to vibrating driveshafts. There’s more technology on board with the engines as well like Active Fuel Management. It’s more complicated and there’s more to go wrong...
• Sure, an old Suburban or Expedition could do it as well, but you'd probably pay more for those.
• Hates the way our Suburban take city potholes.
• To me, for a family hauler, it makes absolutely no sense to get one of those over a mini van for the following reasons: ... Vans are significantly cheaper, to the tune of $20-$30k for comparable trims/years/mileage
• I don't love the idea of driving something as large as a Suburban
