However, the one thing Chessbase is the absolute best at, without any competition is the database features. If you're searching patterns, or looking for certain openings, or players, or piece setups.
This player could be very useful to just sit with ChessBase and find your opponents, then find interesting ideas you could play.
I'm also not a fan of Chessbase's fee's and limitations on their cloud storage. 500mb is not very much at all if you have a comprehensive database of games and positions.

i have chessbase files with all my openings and look when i get confused or something but most of the time it is a move that i already have in the study, and then i dont look at it, so thats my own laziness.
If you are a serious player, chessbase is useful because it allows you to build opening files, you can't just take other people's courses and remember lines, you need to work on your openings and develop your understanding. Not to mention cloud engines and coming up with news ideas...
I haven't bought Chessbase yet because I don't have much money but I will invest in it finally after all this time I think I need it
Usually, I would indeed build a PGN on lichess or Chessbase and then import it to Chessable or Chesstempo
