Cheaney

Pros

• Cheaney might have some options but overall I reckon C&J would be a good bet.
• The next maker near or a little lower in price point would be Cheaney. I think they may have something sleeker than a stow. They have a long heritage just like Crockett.
• I think that Crockett & Jones and Cheaney also have options.
• if you have the time to go to some of the northampton shoemakers’ factory stores (loake, trickers, cheaney, etc.) you can get lucky and score a deal
• My other two pairs of boots (Cheaney and Trickers) were insanely comfortable

Cons

• Wide shoe brand that used to make a bunch of GYW footwear mostly made in Mexico, but some colabs with US, Canadian and UK brands like Sebago and Tecnic back in the day. Think they had financial issues as they stopped offering everything...
• Are there any US-based stores that sell Crockett & Jones, Trickers, Cheaney, or Barket shoes?
• Or is it the case that the upper brands, like Edward Green, makes brands, like Crockett, Cheaney, Loakes, redundant if you can afford and willing to pay Edward Green prices?
• I'm curious how they would compare with, say Cheaney?
