Pros

• I found my grandmothers Chanel no. 5 after she passed and it was so great to remember her from her perfume.
• I picked up a Chanel No.5 clone cuz i thought it smelled nice. For context im early 20s M and i loved the sweeter tones that kind of transition to a very complex and mature scent.
• My grandma turned me on to Chanel No. 5 when I was a kid, she raised me right.

Cons

• Example: the iconic Chanel No.5 would surely be considered this way - and though I'm not personally a huge fan, I can appreciate it's construct.
• Scents I occasionally spot in the wild are a Shalimar, Chanel no 5 or Coco Mademoiselle, Narciso Rodriguez for her.
• Specifically, it came from smelling like Johnsons Baby Powder, itself a take on Chanel No.5
• It opens with a burst of stately aldehydes and bergamot reminiscent of Chanel No. 5 and Hermès 24 Faubourg.
• Despite being a child of the 1970s who loves a good chypre, I cannot stand No. 5
