Reddit take

AI summary of the Reddit excerpts below — not a quote

Cars24 receives mixed reviews from users, who are divided between those appreciating a streamlined, 'hassle-free' buying experience with warranties and those who have encountered significant issues with vehicle transparency. While some find the process smooth and the pricing better than traditional dealerships, others report that inspection reports can be inaccurate regarding previous accidents or repaints.

Pros

  • Provides a warranty on used vehicles
  • Generally smooth and professional buying process
  • Offers a 7-day refund and 1-year buyback policy
  • Often perceived as more affordable than large traditional dealerships like Al Futtaim

Cons

  • Reports of inaccurate inspection data, including missed repaints and undisclosed accidents
  • Potential for mechanical issues to emerge shortly after purchase
  • Pressure to purchase additional services or reservations
  • Prices may include a premium compared to buying directly from private owners

Caveats

  • Independent agency checks have occasionally contradicted Cars24's internal inspection reports.
  • The quality of the 'due diligence' is questioned by some users who view it as a high-volume operation with low individual incentives.

Best for

  • Buyers seeking a convenient, one-stop-shop experience with a warranty
  • Those who prefer a dealership-style refund policy over the risks of a private sale

Avoid if

  • You require a 100% guaranteed accurate vehicle history without performing your own third-party inspection
  • You are looking for the absolute lowest price possible (private sellers are often cheaper)

This summary uses balanced time weighting with about a 6-month half-life. The evidence is older, with a median source age of approximately 404 days, which may affect relevance for current service standards.

if your looking an used car you can try cars24. They have a limited fleet but I have had a good experience with them. They provide warranty as well.

Avoid the big ones you just mentioned - they really can’t do a lot of due diligence because it’s a number game for them and they don’t put their money on the line as it’s mostly low paid salaried employee with zero incentive on the day to day …

Sold my car to them and it had 2 panels repainted. I saw my car being listed on their website and under their detailed inspection report, they mention no repaints, all original paints.

When I was looking for a car, I felt Cars24 is bit expensive and preferred to buy from seller, 1st or 2nd owner with full history, and if possible with warranty..
