Pros
- what you want is a brompton. The suspension and disc wheels would be garbage IRL for getting around but the folding frame design is very unique and works extremely well.
- Shape of frame and small tires resemble a folding bike like a Brompton
- If you don't want to lock your bike on the street you could maybe get a folding bike like a brompton and keep it under your desk or something.
- My favorite bike of my collection of 7 bikes is actually my Brompton. Its the most versatile, love being able to actually ride to the airport, fold up the bike, go thru TSA, store bike in the overhead bin on the plane, land, unfold and r...
- If you were commuting. Brompton all the way.
Cons
- Brompton is the obvious choice, but with proprietary components.
- Not one of us has bought one, because they're just ridiculously fucking expensive. There's a market for these bikes, but they've priced themselves out of it.
- I was always shocked at how expensive Bromptons were.
- I would LOVE a Brompton, but at the end of the day you can buy a whole lot of bike for even their base spec model. $6k for a folder is comical.
- Bromptons have become too expensive! Especially when you line up significantly cheaper options from Decathlon, Tern, Raleigh etc

My favorite bike of my collection of 7 bikes is actually my Brompton. Its the most versatile, love being able to actually ride to the airport, fold up the bike, go thru TSA, store bike in the overhead bin on the plane, land, unfold and ride off. It has a solid ride all-around, blasting down hills feels stable.
