Pros
- American Bolt EUV owner of 3 years. I will never own another ICE vehicle
- Look into newer models of the Chevy Bolt and Bolt EUV.
- Bolt EUV, i own one, theyre great hatchbacks
- Personally, I have the Bolt EUV which gets 230mi in good weather and 180 in winter. Winter road trips are rough, but it's been fine for 2.5 years.
- There's no real reason to change the body too much. A lot of the Bolt EUV works well.
Cons
- Parent context: They look great, but general risk aversion to buying a discontinued vehicle. Reply: They look great, but general risk aversion to buying a discontinued vehicle.
- We like our 22 Bolt EUV, but it does lack some refinement. A few rattles, oddly tuned wallowy rear suspension, some creaks. It's a weird car: we have the Premier trim with all the toys, but the toys are installed in what's basically an e...
- ‘22 Bolt EUV felt like everything was rattling the whole time.
- The current Bolt is just the Bolt EUV from 2022 with new batteries. And the Bolt's platform is a spin-off of GM's ICE subcompact platform from the early 2010s.
- It can't be your only car, it's horrible at road trips (can't fast charge). But if you have a road trip car covered, it's an amazing second car. Cheap to operate (3 cents a mile for us), comfortable, Android Auto, GM Super Cruise, fits 4...

My specific car is a Bolt EUV, but I think this question is generic enough that I'm posting it here.
As a bolt EUV owner, I am extremely jealous of what you consider slow charging
I'm a tad bit reluctant to go back to a Chevy vehicle. I currently drive an '02 Xterra that I "downgraded" from a 2020 Equinox because it was a steaming pile of shit. Issue after issue after issue made me swear off Chevys at the time, but that was an ICE vehicle and this is an EV. I'm wondering what other's experiences have been with the Bolt EUV (LT trim) and if it's worth pulling the trigger or waiting for something like a Model Y or a Mach E to come down in price.
