I've also been looking at BLKBRD, which I've purchased before, in the Pagani last. I am, putting it lightly, well-acquainted with their production/communication issues. At the same time, the Horween Hatch loafers they finally made for me were beautiful and fit great.

Personally, as of now, I wouldn't buy thick leather like TPR from them since they are not able to last the shoes properly according to some reviews.
Parent context: Thanks for the review! Unfortunately some people here had a bad experience with BLKBRD and don't react well to reviews of their shoes. Reply: I get where they are coming from. Some of the reviews make it seem like BLKBRD astroturfs here (I'm not totally convinced that they don't) because they act like BLKBRD is the greatest value/brand/everything ever. That's part of the reason I decided to review these because while they're good, they also have a ton of flaws and imperfections.

The shoes were a disaster - very narrow and the arch support goes centimeters into my sole, the heel is at least 1cm too short so it hangs off the front and presses into my foot given the footbed is pretty thin. The toe box over the ball is too narrow. The leather and construction is what I would consider 'light'.
