AI summary of the Reddit excerpts below — not a quote

Blackberry Mountain is a highly-regarded luxury resort frequently praised for its exceptional service, high-end accommodations, and scenic setting. It strikes a balance between being family-friendly and providing adult-oriented spaces, though it is often compared to its sister property, Blackberry Farm, particularly regarding holiday atmosphere and specific children's programming.

Pros

  • Fantastic service and helpful front desk staff.
  • Incredible food and high-quality room accommodations.
  • Excellent facilities for children, including a large, well-staffed kids' center.
  • Diverse outdoor activities such as rock climbing, hiking, and a skeet shooting course.
  • Effective separation of adults and families, including a 16+ infinity pool.

Cons

  • Very limited holiday or Christmas atmosphere compared to Blackberry Farm.
  • Some users prefer the children's programming (Camp Blackberry) at the sister property.

Caveats

  • Families with children are requested to dine before 7:00 PM to maintain a quieter atmosphere for couples later in the evening.
  • While family-friendly, the restaurants can feel populated by children, though staff attempts to seat families separately.

Best for

  • Luxury travelers seeking a 'chill' mountain retreat with high-end service.
  • Families who want top-tier kids' facilities without sacrificing luxury.
  • Outdoor enthusiasts interested in spring, summer, or fall activities.

Avoid if

  • You are specifically looking for a festive, decor-heavy Christmas or holiday experience.
  • You prefer a resort that is strictly adults-only at all times.

Their number 3 was Camp Blackberry at Blackberry Farm - they preferred it over Blackberry Mountain but they liked the overall accommodations there better.

Blackberry Mountain (to me anyway) is more of a spring/summer/fall place - the outdoor activities there are awesome

Tha facilities for kids at Blackberry Mountain are top class. The kids center is huge, nice and well stocked and staffed. The pool is also very kid friendly.

The closest resort in style we have stayed at is Blackberry Mountain (#71), which had similarly great rooms, a slightly better setting, fantastic service and incredible food.

Blackberry Mountain is very family friendly but they also do a good job separating adults and families with kids. The infinity pool overlooking the mountains is 16+. They request that families with kids eat dinner before 7pm, and they also try to seat families separate for from couples.

Blackberry Mountain is very family friendly; while it will never seem crowded in the way that the Farm can, you will definitely see kids there, especially in the restaurants.

Parent context: Blackberry Mountain or Blackberry Farm Reply: I like Blackberry Mountain and recommend it regularly but it’s the wrong call here. They have so little “Christmas” on site that I got an okay to schlep my own 5 year old to the Farm for their Christmas stuff. So Blackberry Farm yes, Blackberry Mountain absolutely not.

I’m going to throw a curve and suggest Blackberry Mountain or Fogo Island.
