Anything written by Agatha Cristie is good for a slump. Her turn of phrase and use of human psychology are brilliant.
Try Agatha Christie. Murder of Roger Ackroyd is brilliant, as are most of her books.
Consider reading something by Agatha Christie! I’m personally not a huge mystery person but I picked up one of her books at a second hand store for like 50¢ and it was one of those books that you kept wanting to pick up, she hooks you in pretty well :)
