I am running this exact setup and it works great -- segmented IoT with a hole for my DNS servers. You need to create an IP-Port Group in order to specify just port 53 on your DNS server.
1st question: It doesn’t block in-app ads in FB, Reddit etc. 2nd question: I don’t think install certificate will let website see your data, I think data sent between the phone and website’s server is encrypted. Adguard needs CA cert to decrypt it when data arrived on the phone.
