Pros

• I like Lange backs and I cannot lie, no horologist can deny, that when a guy walks in with a itty bitty wrist and a round thing in your face, you get mainsprung.
• Love the VC and Lange
• But for a dress watch, the 3-4mm difference in thickness probably makes the Lange feel better on the wrist.
• Personally, I always loved having a glance at a watch's movement, especially for luxury pieces like those from Zenith, Omega, Lange, and the like.
• Meanwhile brands like Grand Seiko, Lange, Journe, and even tiny indie houses are doing insane, creative stuff.

Cons

• Lange actually offers to FedEx you the box if you want to wear the watch out.
• the worst richemont brand in terms of service right now might actually be lange, with tons of gripes about really long service turn-around times, shoddy service work, and sky-high service prices (even relative to the price bracket).
• Even if you had $50+ large and wanted a Lange, can you just walk into a Lange dealer and buy something like a perpetual calendar watch without "forming a relationship"?
• A bit of a Lange ripoff but that's okay
• Parent context: Me too, probably an unpopular opinion here but Lange is pretty overrated. The asymmetrical design looks bad (imo Glasshütte does it better). The movement finishing mainly relies on the gimmicky hand-engraved balance...
